Carl cut his teeth playing keys in gospel and fusion outfits like Infradig and The Distribution . Though the percussion and energy of those years would never leave his DNA, it wasn't long before his omnivorous taste in music drove him into production work.

It was his love of electro-R&B and experimental-pop that created his production moniker Summer Dregs. Soon his penchant for reckless ecstasy, neon swagger and collaboration made him a pillar of the bubbling CHA scene in both production and engineering. He soon gained a reputation for bringing out best and weirdest in his collaborators. Production credits include songs with Johnny Balik, BbyMutha, Superbody and Nick Lutsko.
